FULL VIEW! DA thumbnails don't show transparencies.He's all done! It was nice not to have to rush a drawing for a change. This was my friend's birthday present, of his RPG character Osamu. He said the style the character's from is like 12 Kingdoms and Fushigi Yuugi, and he wanted a bit of the FF Tactics time mage thrown in there.
He also uses ofuda to summon shadowy thingies.If some of the dark shading is off, forgive me, my monitor is pretty dark. But I hope I got the smoky affect in the shadowy thing across OK...
Sketched with pencil, everything else but the lame hanzui on the ofuda done in Illustrator. I forgot the writing and had to add it in Photoshop.
Yeah I know the hand holding the ofuda is wrong. I worked so long on this, please don't mention it. -_-;

Taking me forever to comment on this, but here it is... I really like the way the face and upper torso came out, but I think the bottom is a bit rigid... I wish his legs were a little more dynamic, but overall it's a solid composition... And I love your usage of transparencies!

Thanks! Yes, you should. I dunno how fun it is, it's really time-consuming (that shadow monster was the most difficult thing if you could believe that) but the results look cool.

Naw you're right, I should probably make it shorter... tendons shouldn't be that visible with your hand ion that pose... ugh but otherwise it's look so flat and argh I am not fixing this anymore. It gave me so much trouble. Vectors are hard. ;_;
