Description
Part one of the Gamzee tutorial! The other parts will be up as soon as I can finish them.Part 2: [link]
Part 3: [link]
Backstitch tutorial: [link]
Hidden stitch tutorial: [link]
I tried to make it easy to understand for people who don't sew much, but I'm not sure if I succeeded. I think experienced sewers can tell what to do just from the simple pattern so I don't know what level of detail I should go into. Feel free to ask questions!

Ahhh, I couldn't find faux suede anywhere. :[ I'm sorry if you've answered this question already, but where did you purchase yours?
If anybody else knows where to find it, I'd be very grateful if you told me! <3

i got mine at joann fabrics and hancock fabrics! if you don't have either of those, joggles.com has some.

Thank you so much~ If I can't buy it online, then I think I'll see if I can replace some of the suede with other fabrics~ Might not look as nice, but I'll still post pictures if I'm successful. Thanks a ton for this tutorial. :3

Do you think fleece could work for this? Or if Walmart sells the faux suede?

b00ts In reply to BulletproofFox [2012-04-29 02:11:55 +0000 UTC]
yeah fleece could work! you'll have to make the pattern a bit bigger though, probably, because it's thicker and won't work for the smaller parts
wal-mart might sell the faux suede, though.

Made a Gamzee! (put a squeaker in his belly, he squeaks when you squeeze him xD)
thanks for the great tutorial
(except the neck/head area looks weird, cos I was told to do it a certain way, I'm not happy with its results, shoulda stuck to your way, bluuhhh)

oh my gosh he's so cute! and big??? awesome!!
(yeah, i think it seems like it makes more sense to put his head on top of the body, but looking at the fronts & backs of the sprites in the comic, attaching it the way i did in my tutorial is more accurate. he still looks great though! thank you for showing me <3)

He's huugeee!!
horns included I believe he's 13 inches~
//mhhm I really would have preffered doing it the way you taught us, but it was for a class assignment, and our teacher was an ass the entire time :/
oh no problem at all!
thanks again for showing us how
I recently found my motivation, and my senior-itis went away, so I'm gonna be making a Tavros to accompany him since my friends birthday is coming up
but his headcannon is that Tav is like several feet taller than Gamzee, so he's going to end up waaay taller, pfff ooh jeezzz

oh but of course I will !!
//also, after Tavvy is done, if its all good with you, ((this being your pattern and all))
a friend of mine said she'd make a godtier Aradia, if I made her a Disciple
would it be alright for me to do the plush trade using your pattern?

This is a pretty sweet tutorial!
I am currently trying to make something out of this, but I have run into some uncertainty. The body looks ridiculously small. I haven't added the clothes yet though. Is this Normal?

b00ts In reply to Meow-Nya [2012-04-26 02:28:10 +0000 UTC]
i don't know! i would have to see a picture. whenever i make the bodies i do think they look a bit too small until the clothes are on, though! though it could be that you printed out the pattern pieces different sizes or made the seams too big.

I want to make this Gamzee plush, but how do I know the measurements of the fabric when I go to buy it? How much of each fabric did you use? If you answered this, I would appreciate it so much! Thank you!

er just print out the pattern sheet and guess i guess? haha sorry i don't really know how much! it's really small so probably 1/4 of a yard or smaller will be fine.

don't apologize! hmm what are you confused about? you just open up the pieces you've already sewn and place them together, then sew all the way around.

how would you do hair for terezi and vriska?right now im making terezi and im stuck with her hair and later im making vriska
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
b00ts In reply to zabrainah [2012-01-01 02:54:10 +0000 UTC]
i don't have the time to pattern out the hair for other characters at the moment. all i can really say is look at how i did gamzee's and try to adapt that to terezi and vriska. all you have to do is change the shapes.

im not really asking for a pattern.im just wondering how to do long hair.but thanks anyways

b00ts In reply to zabrainah [2012-01-06 01:47:02 +0000 UTC]
oh no i know. i just don't know how to explain it without... a visual or something. i don't think terezi's hair is long enough to do much differently than the others, though!
