Description
For if I completely ruin this piece, here's the rough draft. I'm still making some last changes (i.e., making actual markings on the cards, trying to figure out how to fix that right arm, etc.) It's painfully light, I know, but that's so I can digi-color it without having to shift back and forth between programs.Related content

I like the arms posture and everything - it's gonna look great when finished! ^^

Thanks. I'm just annoyed because of that one right hand. I can't get it right, and it's rather pathetic when that's how you spend your day...

Ah, no it isn't! I spent about five hours just getting the head right on one of my drawings once...-_-;; Now THAT was embarrassing.

It sounds like every attempt at digi-coloring I've ever made.

Thanks. It just seems that considering my dad wants me to be a computer programmer, art programs have never ever agreed with me.
Huzzah for the pen and pencil, without which I would be lost!

The pen is mightier than the sword. Always remember this as your defense against the "dark arts"...yes.

Har har. That actually did help, though. I figure computers are less trusty than my wrist anyway!

Tell me about it. I will NEVER be able to figure out computer colouring. EVER. -_-;;

I can... it just takes me many hours and it still looks like I had no idea what I was doing. So, pencil it is! ::holds pencil aloft proudly::

Looking forward to the colored piece. I love the pose you decided on...it speaks volumes! Good luck with it (I know EXACTLY how you feel).

:rays:: As of yet, digifying hasn't been all that good for me, which is why I have only used it on a low single-digit amount of my pieces, but I need the smoothness in color for this one.

You'll do fine, I'm sure. For me, I've just gotten in the habit of scanning in my prelim sketches so that if I totally screw it up by coloring, at the very least I can print it out and do it again or try reworking it in photoshop.

I do the same thing, only before inking or coloring. (I learned the merits of this one day when I inked a portrait and it looked TERRIBLE.) But I still had the pencilling on here. Also, I've given quite a few of my drawings away, but still have them on my comp, so I figure I'll eventually get around to printing them out to stick back in my binder.

SQUEEEEEEE!!!! yep. this piece has sooo much coloring potential. my prayers are with you. i'm sure you can pull it off... gah...the LIGHTING...

Yup. I figure I'm going to incorporate some things that I've never tried before. I.e., the lighting and the foreshortening. I really want to learn those things, and I know if I go to art lessons, no one will get to it. So I'm trying it out on my own and hoping for the best.
If all else fails, I can always try to hire you for the coloring job.

anytime. there are very useful books for learning such things... and tutorials...though the best way, is probably on your own. so you're good to go

I figure that art lessons are overrated; I've never learned anything from any of them. I figure, trial and error! Works for all!
I'm starting it as soon as my scanner behaves on it.
