I too like to think of stories of humans being rescued by mermaids and mermen! In fact, I have thought of myself being rescuted by the Bubble Guppies, but not being brought to land, instead being given the ability to breath water.

This is spectacular at every level, but I think it needs a tender sequel--like the moment from "Little Mermaid" that makes Sebastian's jaw drop, where Eric just barely begins to wake up and smile, and Ariel is cradling him her arm and caressing him. Something to play up these guys' romantic bond like in some of your other gorgeous pairings/illustrations.

"Pinocchio" and "Little Mermaid" are my two childhood favorites from back in the day; I never thought I'd see a crossover between the two and I'm loving it
It also works b/c older Pinocchio looks like Prince Eric XD
