Description
This is the portrait of the character of the Screamer from the short story The Uninvited House Guest, which can be read atWhilst doing the digital collage for my next image I found that this was such a strong element by itself that I chose to use it as a separate image.

What I used: Adobe Photoshop CS3, Wacom A3 tablet, pencil, paper, scanner, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, The Bloodhound Gang, All of the Discworld Audiobooks by Terry Pratchett, Goldfrapp, Kylie, and the contents of my ipod, Marvel Comics: Civil War, Resident Evil: Extinction.
How long did it take: 10 minutes, (no seriously), the face is the original photo, but the hair and the neck are painted by me so that it fit's in with the storyline.

Thanks, but I can't take any credit for the beauty of the original model, only for how I altered the original photo to suit the illustration purposes, (*sigh* oh for a really beautiful model that would let me paint her).

Huh? But I've seen your DA ID, your a pretty lady. Everyone has their non-sparkle moment. In the original photo the model wasn't crying, I painted the running mascara on to suit the illustration.

Okay so you missed this section of the artist's comments:

Actually the bits that are painted are in fact the original photoshop layers taken from the previous painting The Univited House Guest v1.0, linked together and scaled up, I didn't add any extra detail, that is how detailed I painted the previous image. All I've added was a bit of black around the face to blend it in with the painted parts and added a few shadows on the face.

this is amazing this is a picture of somebody right? cuz the face looks real but the hair looks tampered with like if its digital work but it might just be my eyes i think i see colors differently their have been a few times where i have gotten a color completely wrong-_-
