I always wondered since you love Sadako so much; Is it a coincidence that she shares the same name with Sadako Sasaki, the short lived historical figure who tried to make 1000 paper cranes to heal her Atom Bomb Disease? Or maybe theres something to it? I love that story and although bittersweet, It make me feel hopeful and It makes me feel like making cranes myself.

I think it's a coincidence and has no connect to Sadako Sasaki.
From what I've read about, 'Sadako' the name means "chaste child" and it makes sense for Sadako Yamamura to be named Sadako
because in the book she can't give birth, and she's really obsessed with wanting to procreating.
