Colored and with a background now! (original lineart here - [link] )So despite having officially closed the contest, said he'd still be accepting entries until midnight on the 6th (I'm only barely on time, heh). So here is my full, finished, colored commission completely with background.
I'm actually pretty impressed with myself, because I don't get a lot of practice drawing inanimate objects and I think the ship looks really nice all things considered. ((and again, trying to step out of my comfort zone a bit with doing something different than my norm.))
^_^() So I'm pleased with it and I hope it does well in the contest.

And I've been doing alright. I have my job at Waldenbooks and have been working hard there to make sure I'm doing what I need to and can hopefully get some more hours (which I did this week, yay!). Mostly just been taking it one day at a time. Been doing more writing in my free time than many of my other hobbies, except perhaps watching anime. Been watching a lot of anime. ^_^()

"Taking it one day at a time"--you said it, girl. After spending so much of my life obsessing over future plans and trying to make myself ready, I've kind of reached the point where I say, "Look, just appreciate what God has given you for today!"
Things generally make a lot more sense for me if I look at them with that perspective
Glad you got more hours! I've had kind of a rough week at work (during which I made a lot of elementary mistakes :C but things are getting back on track now.
I've got something fun to post, as soon as I can get some help! I did the line art for a stained-glass window, but I need Amy's boyfriend and graphic designer Daniel to make it pretty for me.
(Then I should commish you to make it, lol! You're the one with experience in different mediums!)

Yeah, work can be rough. And sometimes those things happen, so try not to worry over it too much. Everyone makes mistakes.
As for the stained glass window, I'm not so sure I could do that. ^_^() Glass is one of the mediums that I haven't really worked with.
