I don't know! It was random things he'd borrow and then he just disappeared one day after we asked for them back! I had this awesome frilly black silk shirt that my mother gave me and a wonderfully warm guy's red cable knit sweater that i'd JUST GOTTEN. ;~;

Wow, really awesome. Well, OK, all the girls from this series are, but the black with the glowing white face is so striking. I'm super impressed. Shoot, this makes me really, really want one now.

aww! thank you! I'm glad you like her! I wish I could have made her totally silver, but the silvering didn't want to go on even.

I like the dark, gun metal color better then bright silver. It makes her face radiate. Really awesome. I have to admit, watching you work your way through the robot girl makes me very interested in what you come up with next. As I was looking at an in-progress doll on my floor the other day (I *was* doing some of the characters from the book I'm working on) I left off to look at other people's stuff in the hopes I could find a better boy with the look of my hero. I really like other artists' dolls better then my own, and of all the people doing things without a company backing them, well, you are the top of the heap. Seriously, why ISN'T Volks (or someone better) knocking on your door? And if my book is a sucess, maybe I'll strong arm you into doing my prototypes (hee! anything to get out of work).

heheeh~ I'd love to get a regular job that would pay me to make what I want... but at the moment no one's coming looking. XD I know how you feel tho, I always seem to get more attached to someone else's stuff than my own. Yours were the first hand made bjds I saw and I've been fascinated with them for a long time! I really like the heads I've sculpted, but I'm not real happy with the boy's bodies. I wish I had made them 42cm instead of 65cm. The 42 are so much easier for a single artist to make. Of everything I"ve made I think the machina are the first ones that I'm satisfied with and actually want to keep. The others I like... but I'm not hella attached to them.

When you spend so much of your time looking for the imperfections and problems in your own work, it's almost impossible to really enjoy them... although I've been working as an artist long enough that I have to make myself NOT see the little "offs" in other people's work or I'll never be able to enjoy anything.
I love your boys! And the size of them! For the girls I seem to be really drawn to Minis, but I would love to have a 60cm or taller mature guy with wide enough shoulders to hold up those Yakuza style suits I love so much.... but yeah that's a lot of resin to throw around, right?
I never get emotionally invested in the dolls I make. The characters in the stupid comic book project? Whole other story. I feel bad when I bash them up or hurt their feelings. Sheesh. I'm a softy. And what few dolls I own from other artists, well, I get pretty attached to them as well.
Recently a doll I made for a collector broke, she asked how to fix it... I told her to bury it in the yard and I'd make her a new one. I'm never going to hear the end of it now.
