Description After the Revolutions of 1837 saw the loss of Upper Canada to the United States and Lower Canada to itself, the United Kingdom clung onto its remaining holdings in North America. The colony of New Caledonia and the lands of the Hudson's Bay Company were the last to gain 'responsible government' in 1912 given the name chosen by a London committee, Borealia. Nowadays seen as the northern equivalent of Australia, Borelia is distinct as it boasts crumbling industry reminiscent of the American 'Rust Lakes,' a welfare state built of the price of oil, and many, many miles of frozen wasteland.

Iqaluit is an unfortunate casualty of my attempt at different names for each city.
