Entry for Ballendene International Event
I actually quite like this, but I can see a lot wrong with it

Story:
Aoife and Beau were to travel to Australia for the AUS-e Olympics in summer, so they thought it would be a good idea for the team to travel down early and enter Beau into a few smaller events so he could get used to the Australian heat. So they found Ballendene International, an event where the showjumping fences stood between 1m-1m30. This allowed Beau to have some competition experience in Australia, but in a less demanding atmosphere where the fences where a good .30m off what he would face at the Olympics.
When they arrived at the showgrounds, Beau was still getting used to being in Australia. In fact the whole team where. Aoife, Beau's new rider, was severely jet lagged and found it hard to even get up in the morning - let alone face a showjumping round! So when the time of the showjumping was announced as 9-11am, she groaned and inwardly accepted the fact she would be half asleep whilst facing 1m30 jumps.
However, the morning of the showjumping dawned bright and clear and the crisp air was perfect for Beau and Aoife. It reminded them of the weather in England and allowed them to compete at the top of their game.
The good thing about Beau, Aoife thought, was that he was a true gentleman who knew his sport inside out and loved it! With any other horse she would be terrified approaching the 1m20 square oxer which was conveniently painted bright green with large trees by the sides, because it was the perfect type of fence for horses to run out at. But with Beau, she looked forward to jumping it! She knew that, because of the time and patience Amy put into training him, he would soar over the jump without looking twice at the decorations.
And he did just that...
