Description 4th place

My entry for the Tour du Monde Championships Show Jumping! I really wanted to play with perspective a bit so my entry wasn't just the same old - same old picture you see over and over again.

The combined forces of my shitty scanner and Deviantart killing the quality means that this doesn't look half as good as it does in real life ah well

Story:

The baking hot sun burnt down on to Amy's back, making her smile. She was't used to heat like this - but she loved it! She wasn't sure if Beau loved it though. The poor stallion was hiding under the shade of the stables. He was used to the rain of England, and after the stress of the long-haul flight to Egypt, he wasn't feeling his best. The Riverwood Equestrian team weren't too worried though. They had purposefully flown out to Egypt 3 days early for this very reason. They wanted their superstar stallion to be at his best for the competition!

When the day of the competition finally arrived, Beau was coping much better with the heat. He was even a bit bored by it. If you left him under the shade for too long, he would neigh and kick his stable door loudly until he caught someone's attention. If he wanted to be in the limelight though, he didn't have to wait too long. Hundreds of competitors and spectators had shown up to the showground to watch the riders battle it out across the scorching hot sand.

The familiar nerves fluttered through Amy's stomach as she lined up to the starting line. She could see the first fence clearly - a green and yellow oxer. It was a simple enough fence for Beau, but the bright colours could startle even the most level-headed of horses. Of course, Beau flicked his head and cantered up to the fence strongly, impatient with his rider's insecurities - he knew what he was doing and he wanted to do it as fast as he could. He wanted to win!
