Just a training image for Quicksand! So excited for this mare I drew this traditionally with no ref and just put a colour overlay on top with photoshop to get her colour. I really liked drawing this! Sorry if the quality is bad, my scanner messed it up!

Riverwood Equestrian's newest mare has started her training already! She is yet to grow into her 3 year old legs so the staff just had her trotting over some poles to begin with. They could tell the mare was itching to jump something properly, but Georgia insisted on getting her confident over the poles so she didn't so much as move them an inch before she wanted her to pop over a cross-rail. The mare was showing her ability already. She was trotting over the poles with her arched neck stretched down and her legs stretched out under her. She looked wonderful!
"See, I knew she would be a great horse Connie!" Amy was delighted with her new mare and couldn't wait to start riding her.
"I've got to admit that I think you were right about Sandy, Amy. She is showing promise already and she is only 3! When we have her backed, I think you two will be unstoppable!"
