about 5 hours spent on this!
I spent a while on it, but I am not thoroughly pleased with the result. Mostly because I hate drawing tack! It is so hard to make it stand out from the horse without just colouring it black

Story!
It was a crisp autumn morning when Amy and Georgia strolled down to the stables. The red leaves crunched underneath their black leather boots and the cold breeze bit their cheeks.

"Remember how Flash was when we taught him how to accept the bit and saddle Amy? Then remember when we taught him to accept a rider?" Georgia said out of the blue.
"Oh yes! Wasn't he a sweetheart!" Amy laughed.
Georgia rolled her eyes - Flash could do no wrong in Amy's eyes. "Well, brace yourself. I have a feeling it's not going to get better quickly. Oh and do me a favour would you? Come help me tack him up!" And with that Georgia strolled off to collect Flash's brand new tack, leaving Amy a few paces behind.
"I'm sure he will be fine!" Amy said, running to catch up. Thankfully, years of riding grumpy riding school ponies had taught her a thing or two about staying in the saddle!

"You sure you don't want me to lunge you for a bit?" Georgia asked once Amy was mounting.
"Oh come on George! It can't be that bad! My little baby sure knows how to run, but he isn't dangerous!"
Amy wasn't heavy at all, but when she sat in the saddle, Flash tensed up a bit. This was no reason to worry though, it was natural that he was cautious in the early days of training. He had been fine when being lunged with Amy on top, so there shouldn't be any difference now.

The problem came when Amy asked him to move up into canter. He threw his head down and pulled the reins out of Amy's hands to avoid the contact then started careering around like he was having the time of his life! Once Amy had finally got him back into halt she simply said, "It's not because he's mean - he just has a bit too much energy! Once we get him used to a rider, he should be fine!"
"Surprisingly, I agree with you Amy!", Georgia said, "He's not bucking or rearing to get you off, he simply isn't used to the feeling of the bit and contact in his mouth. Off you get - that's enough training for today!"
And with that, they led a cheeky Flash back to his paddock...
