One Trait or Quirk: This boy’s gonna wear you out. He seems to have endless amounts of energy, and we’ve yet to see him standing still. He keeps running around and around and around the pen. We’re getting tired just watching him.

It was a rainy November afternoon and Amy was showing all her friends at Riverwood Equestrian just how far Flash had come since he had been there. He had learnt to accept a rider and had learnt his basic flatwork - now it was time to start his jumping! Everybody knew he could jump the moon on his own already, he just needed to learn to carry himself beautifully! Amy and Georgia still weren't sure whether to train him specifically for showjumping or to try and train him for 3-day eventing. He didn't seem to be the most natural dressage horse because he just wanted to canter all the time! Amy and Georgia didn't want to train him in something he wouldn't enjoy, but then again, Amy wanted to gallop him across country so badly!
"Want me to set up the trotting poles Amy?" Georgia asked.
"Yeah, if you could. Thanks! I'll just warm him up." Amy replied, smiling. She loved riding her Flash. He was so different to the eventing horses she was used to riding, although Georgia thought she saw him through rose tinted glasses.
The pair had grown so close and were working together as one as they were walk, trot and cantering to warm up. As soon as the trotting poles were in place, Amy pushed Flash into a working trot and proceeded to go over the small obstacles. At first, Flash was a bit wary of them and seemed to want to spook and jump over them at the same time! But with a firm squeeze of the legs and a pat of reassurance from his rider, the pair went over them once more perfectly. After a few more times, Georgia said,
"Wow Amy! I can see a definite improvement in him! And it's not just his attitude to his work has improved, but he is carrying himself like a dressage pony...almost! I think we should try him for eventing!"
"Really?! Oh my gosh!" Amy was so excited and wouldn't stop patting her horse! "Well I guess that's sorted it then. Eventing it is!"
