it's finally finished! this painting has been a pain in the ass I've never drawn a pose like this, or a background with a perspective like this, so it was definitely a challenge. But I think/hope it has turned out ok!
Legit obsessed with this horse right now too hehe he's too pretty!

Story:
And they were off! Trotting down the centre line marked the beginning of Leo's career and he seemed to know this as much as Amy. As Leo is a young stallion, Amy had every right to be nervous about his reaction to the atmosphere, but she shouldn't have worried. Leo performed his test like a seasoned professional, showing that he is more than just a pretty face!
***"Breathe, just breathe," Amy chanted to herself as she halted on the centre line. "Smile and trot on. You can do this. Leo can do this." Nervous energy was flowing through Amy as she begun the routine, but if Leo noticed this, it didn't show. He seemed to relish the opportunity to show off, and started off in a beautiful trot around the arena, patiently waiting for his rider's instruction. This seemed to spur Amy on. Taking control, she collected Leo's trot before performing a lovely shoulder-in. As the pair cantered past the mirror at 'C', Amy allowed herself to peek at their reflection and she loved what she saw! Leo was excited, but controlled and this put every negative thought out of Amy's mind. They could actually stand a chance at winning this! She couldn't wait to see what was in Leo's future, for she was certain that if he continued like this then he would be going far.***
