Description woo finally finding more time to paint Sandy! There has been a slight jump in training...the last image I uploaded was of her doing trotting poles... ah well!

I LOVE how this turned out! The shading was so easy to do and quite quick, but looks good I think, and it integrates with the rider and bg a lot better! I would love to know how you guys like it? I will most likely be doing training images in this style from now on

Story:

Today was the day that Sandy was finally being taken cross country! The mare seemed to sense the excitement in her rider as she was being tacked up in the new xc gear. Sandy shifted around when the boots and the breastplate were put on her, but was used to them in minutes. She was more worried about how she looked in them!

She needn't have worried as she look spectacular in her burgundy coloured accessories! They were ready to go...

The course that Amy was taking Sandt around wasn't big at all. In all honesty, the jumps were so small that Sandy barely looked at them. She just flew round in perfect form, only spooking at the large bush jumps and the scary ditches. Sandy was so good that Amy decided to take her on to the higher jumps. Specifically the bank. Amy wanted to see how her horse would cope with jumping up onto higher land.

The mare found her take off spot perfectly and launched herself into the air with ease. Amy smiled and let the mare go - she really was in her element! Now Amy knew that she could relax with Sandy and really kick their training up a notch now.

She couldn't wait!!
