I'm so sorry for uploading this -_- it would be nice shaded but its been sitting around in my files since Christmas and I have 0 motivation to look at this anymore
Anyway, this is Amy training our Kaimanawa Ollie!
story:
Ollie had been enjoying living in the pasture for the autumn and winter whilst the team was focused on training and competing their high level sport horses. However, now it was his time to learn some manners!
In the cold winter air, Amy led her horse into the outdoor arena. She decided to teach him ground manners to begin with. So she started to lead him around, correcting him when he walked too far ahead or behind her. In the next 20 minutes, Ollie was letting himself be led around like a seasoned professional. Next up was teaching him to back up on command. Pressing her hand against his chest, Amy lightly pushed against her horse, asking him to back up. At first, Ollie was confused, but after a bit of prompting, he took a tentative step back and was rewarded with lots of pats. After practicing this a few more times, Amy decided to get back inside where it was warm! The sun had barely risen and she had a whole stable full of horses to attend to!
