I say results depend. If say Vilgax had time to prepare, he'd go around conquering more planets until he had what, 10 kajillion alien powers? Then what could Goku do? Especially if Vilgax somehow took over Primus in which case he'd have even the powers of Alien X at his disposal.

im having that same problem
also the big difference between a death star and goku is speed. the death star may be powerful but its immobile and it's a giant space rock .goku on the other hand moves at the speed of light and is a martial arts genius
also kaioken 1 alone can effortlessly overpower the death star.remeber vegeta destoryed an entire planet with just one finger back in the sayain saga before arrving on earth .just picture how one sided skywalker vs goku will be.

If we were to make this go into realism, I think Vilgax would have took the Omnitrix from Ben already and if that were the case, Goku would not last five seconds. As long as Vilgax had unlocked Alien X and I'm sure he'd have done so already being likely far smarter than Ben well, then no being could stop him. Unless those two whatyamacallits kept arguing. Lol. In which case Goku would keep Vilgax X as a statue somewhere until Alien X made a decision to do something.
