Β This was one of the more interesting rooms I found within the Mournhold Temple, (also just called the Tribunal Temple). As you can see this room appears to have a lot of Dwemer gears and the like, Perhaps Sotha Sil's doing? Seeing as he also used Dwemer materials to build his Clockwork City. I can't find any official lore on it though.Screenshot taken and heavily edited by me.

No, It's not the red diamond, aka Chim-el Adabal, in the time of the Interregnum its hidden away in Sancre Tor.

Still, it is the symbol of the Chim-el Adabal. Or... one of Kirkbride's sketches depicts Vivec holding a red diamond. I think it represents CHIM or something.
It makes me wonder, what is a red diamond shaped crystal doing in Mournhold, i this very Sotha Sil-looking room. I'm gonna go with research.Β

No, Sotha Sil invented the Clockwork City by himself. Although inspired by Dwemer technology, he did not simply replicate it.

I know Sotha Sil created the Clockwork City, but as I've understood it he used Dwemer materials to build it, or at least something very similar? I might be mistaken of course.

Far from it, ole Seht discovered the mechanisms of the world that Magnus had built, and remade them into his clockwork city.
