Yes of course. Β It's even designed to run on a model 1 and came with an adapter. Β Model 2's needed a bracket just to sit correctly on top.

The model 2 genesis will get damaged by the weight if the bracket is not used, and the 32X will wobble a lot making game play hard without crashing.

I bet it was a bit of a pain in a butt to get hold of one of those 32X consoles. I'd love to get one, but sadly I come across Β Sega games very rarely where I come from. That doesn't stop me from having an over forty Genesis game collection though! What Genesis/32X games do you have there?

I have all games, but I cheated. Β Flash cart with an SD card loaded with all the ROMs.

How did you connect the 32x to the genesis? Because I heard something about inserting metal prongs into the slot.

Metal prongs not needed.

Oh because I watch AVGN and he said metal prongs are needed on the model 1 genesis

AVGN is a Nintendo person who knows nothing about the hardware in all honest (even Nintendo hardware). Β I like his stuff for entertainment value, but he's full of it when it comes to hardware knowledge.

And the metal "prongs" (actually called "spacers") are only necessary for the Model 2. But even then, I've heard several people say they didn't need them. Besdies, it was just to seat it properly.

Yes, to keep it from wiggling around, like in an old console slot (like my Atari 7800).

And I was born around the time the Atari 2600 was brand new. There's always someone older (I know, I deal with them all the time).

My dad bought me a Sega "Mejesco" Genesis 3. My VERY FIRST Sega Genesis died on me, but I still kept it, it's in my boxer and socks drawer...It's been in there for..I'd reckon 10 or 11 years .

Personally, I perfer the old consoles over the ones today.
That's why I got excited when my cousins gave me their old Sega Genesis.
