Many years ago there was a great war that took place in the world versus the two greatest world powers; Celestia, kingdom of the angels, and Demonica, kingdom of the demons. The demon race was one that scoured the world, see it as a playground. It had no rules, but was not always necessarily evil. If a demon wanted to do good, they would. If they wanted to do horrific acts, they would. The Angelic realm was one of structure and order, laws that kept any chaos at bay, and the only race to never have a war with itself. It often saw itself as perfection and the demons as the exact opposite. The Celestians also kept to their cities in the clouds, while the Demons lived mostly underground, in other dimensions, or spread throughout the surface world. When they became too much, the Angelic race saw fit to limit the demon populations, but when the demons defense destroyed neutral parties, the Angels wanted to wipe them out completely.
Towards the end of the war, when the demons made an attack on Celestia in an attempt to create a diversion, both a male demon general and a female angelic gardener fell in love. The diversion had worked and the Demons managed to save much of their race by sealing themselves away in another dimension using seven doors. The demon general stayed behind however and continuously snuck into the Celestia to see his angelic lover. Eventually they were found when the Angel could not hide their two daughters. When the soldiers caught up with them, the demon general fought them off while the angel ran towards edge of the city (remember they are in the sky), on the way she hid one baby, which was an angel, in a laundry basket. When she reached the edge of the city and the soldiers surrounded, she knew they would kill the second child, a demon, and thus casted the child and its fate off of the city and towards the surface, and mother was killed.
The angel baby was found by maids who immediately knew the baby was that of the traitorous one. They took the child to the soldiers, but before they slew the child, the Celestian Head General stopped them. He saw use in the child and raise her himself, naming her Angela.
Angela was raised as a fighter and she was very good at it. Although shunned by many for being half-blood, she was still well respected as a warrior. She held no feelings for demon-kind, and whenever one was found on the surface, left behind from the war, she gladly took pleasure in slaying it. She even felt sometimes as though she was above the other angels. She became the youngest general in the Celestian history.
Sometime after the fall of the Reptopolian Business Council, the council had taken notice of Babel. She sent Angela down to make a deal with Babel. The war had been over and the Celestian House of Kings and Queen (rulers of Celestia) claimed they wanted to contact the demons and let them back in the world, believing them to have learned their lessons. Babel, who had no love of demons or Angels, reluctantly agreed. The other demigirls joined in and together they set out to open the 7 doors to the demon realm, which can only be opened by Babel and she was recognized as demon, thus the doors would open only for her. She was also the only known demon left. Babel was considered to be the only one who could pass through the main door, thus ensuring the angels couldn’t get through even if they unlocked the doors. But after the main door was open, Angela was able to follow Babel into the Demon realm, and Angela’s true purpose was revealed.
She was sent to destroy the last remnants of the demon filth, including Babel, which despite all they’d been through, she had no problems fulfilling. Babel almost beaten, she grabbed Angela and went back into the regular world. The demon door was shut again, but this time Babel would not open it. It was now a fight with Babel and the other demigirls on one side, and Angela and the Celestian Guard on the other. When Angela lost, she was banished from Celestia. Babel offered to let Angela stay with them, despite what had happened. Angela had nowhere else to go, and thus agreed but still thought of herself as superior to all. The rest of the girls just put up with it.
Fun Fact: Originally Angela had powers to alter reality and thus could practically do whatever she wanted. But considering her character, I didn’t like that. So eventually I changed it, but never had a moment when I could do that.
‘Nother Fun Fact: Babel is only as old as she is because she’s been regressing people for a long time. Demons only have a slightly longer life span than most, typically 100-120 years. Angels on the other hand have naturally long life living from 2000-3000 years.
And Another: Demons are the only race not offended when called demons, as they didn’t have a usual place of residence.

Now that I think about it I find Angela's personality is a lot like Shadow the Hedgehogs personality.

I never thought of that, but I suppose with my limited knowledge of Shadow the Hedgehog, I could kinda agree with that.
