Description
Edit: Chroma's a natural brunette.Hey, what happened to the lines?
I focused more on style than substance here, and just wanted to have some fun with this one, as long as I'm trying something lineless for the first time. This isn't my new way of finishing, by any means, but maybe it'll open a door somwhere down the road. I learn by doing.
Oh, I almost forgot to give credit to the tutorial I used to make this: [link]

Really? Must be the booty and nighttime color scheme. Or was it something else?

Wow! Thats a bit hard to do. Especially without a tablet.

The only part for this that really needed a tablet for me was the blending, actually. I used a tablet to make the selections and flesh her out, but there's no reason why it couldn't work with a mouse.

Will the clever titles never cease? I like a good pun in my art, what can I say?
First impression: Very nice work. It's not perfect, of course, but it's definitely a lot more than I'd expect from a first-time lineless piece. Chroma does, indeed, look very cute - as well she should. She also looks a bit mature in here than she has in previous pieces - I'm not sure if that's a matter of proportions or the new style, but I do like the look. (Girls don't have to be 18 to be attractive, after all.
)
The gradient on Chroma's hair is just absolutely beautiful. I love it. I especially like how you mixed in more darker strands - and thicker variants of them - as her hair went down, thus creating a very flowy "fan" effect, of sorts. It really gives a sense of hair flowing in the wind, or at least the "ever-present anime breeze." I also can't help but notice those streaks of pure shininess that show up here and there - they create a very effective, subconscious "OMG SHINY HAIR!" effect, which is very nice to see.
Upon inspection, they don't appear to be caused by any one logical light source, but with hair as shiny as this, that doesn't really matter.
Simply lovely.
I won't bother to repeat what's already been said about her face. I will add, though, that her ear looks a tad bit too small in comparison to the rest of her head, and it seems like it's sticking out in a rather odd manner. Outside of that, though, she's good ol', cute Chroma.
Moving down, things get a bit more iffy around Chroma's torso. Given that this is your first lineless piece, though, that's to be expected. In comparison to the rest of her body, Chroma's shoulders look a bit too thick and large - or at least her left shoulder does. This is made more obvious by the fact that it's attached to her left arm, which looks very skinny by comparison. I think her arm is correct, though; the shoulder is what I believe needs work. It's nothing that ruins the piece, though.
Now, I do like the fact that Chroma's back is showing. Let's face it; it's an attractive part of the female body. However, it looks a bit off. I think the main problem is the dark streak going down her backbone - there is a natural indentation there, but I don't think it goes as deep as it appears to here. I think a softer tone would thus be more appropriate. Also, her shoulder blades don't look very clearly defined - although I haven't actually seen much of this myself, if I'm remembering correctly, a girl of about Chroma's physique will have her shoulder blades protruding slightly. But don't take my word for it here.
Also, the material of Chroma's outfit seems a bit off in places. On her chest, it seems to sort of meld into her skin, as though it's simply another tone of it. I admit I haven't studied the physics of tight women's apparel, so I don't know EXACTLY how a tight outfit would look from that angle in that particular region, but I would think that it would either protrude ever so slightly farther than the skin (if it's a relatively thick material and not tight enough to cut off circulation) or bring the skin in slightly (if it's REALLY tight). But again, I haven't exactly studied this, so I have no certain arguments to make.
Oh, and although this is a small thing, I have to admit that I absolutely love the little bracelet and scarf you've given Chroma. Not only do they help you to cement the fact that this is "Blanke's," but they're also very nice accessories that make Chroma even cuter. It's one thing to draw a girl in a bunny suit; it's quite another to put your own twists on it.
And here's one thing which, I will freely admit, I simply don't like: Chroma's tush. Not that it's not a NICE tush; it really is. But it just doesn't seem like Chroma to show it, you know? Chroma's very sweet, and although she's admitted that she enjoys a cute outfit, it still seems out of her character and territory to display her rear like this. I do understand out-of-character fanservice, but there are still things that I'd rather not see.
My ramblings aside, I can objectively tell you that the shading you did there was excellent. After much observation (and curse you for making me observe so dang much! ), I can't really think of any outstanding flaws. If nothing else, you did make quite expert use of gradients, skin tones, and clothing folds/tones.
Finally, I like Chroma's legs. I really do. Her thighs seem a bit thicker than usual, but there's nothing wrong with that - I think it suits her, actually. And the way you've shaded those legs is wonderful - they look very shiny and well-tended-to, not to mention impeccably soft. Quite beautiful, Blanke; quite beautiful.
The only real flaw I can point out here is that Chroma's left calf looks a tad too short in comparison to her thigh. (Her thigh is, as I said, beautiful.
) That's all I can tell you here, though.
Overall? Great work. It's obviously a style that's still new to your arsenal, but that most certainly hasn't stopped you from doing a good job with it.
Yeah, there were a few things I had to point out, and one that I simply couldn't wrap my head around, but overall it's a very cute and attractive piece.
Keep up the good work, buddy!

Thanks for the critique, Coach Dras.
If Chroma looks older, it's mainly because my work is advancing, that's all. I noticed that the better I get at drawing, the more mature my characters look. Just compare "+1 Man Point" to how I drew Ares in Trial 2, to see what I mean.
This weekend, I think I'll boot up Photoshop and work on fixing that back and the rest of her upper half. (Granted my literature readings don't take too long... Lit = Hell ) It shouldn't be that hard to do, especially when there aren't any lines to work around, and I can see what you mean on her back, and that line running down it.
Other than that, I'm glad her skin turned out all right. If it makes you feel better about that booty, Blanke's employs a look but don't touch policy. To enforce this rule, all waitresses are trained to kick through most substances. Any violator will have their table axe kicked in half as a warning, and the food is non-refundable.

I fixed a few things you pointed out, finally. I couldn't get an easy way to snap the ear into its right place, or fix her thighs without redrawing everything else, but I made some other changes.

Oh, and who said to redraw her thighs? I said they looked thicker than usual, not that they looked bad.

You didn't say they looked bad, but it bothers me a bit now, that's all. You know I can't appreciate my own work. Especially compared to how I drew the legs in "Untouchable Ultimate Weapons".

BYOOTEEFUL!
As I'm sure you could imagine, I like the transition to a blue theme and a brunette look. And Chroma's back and outfit material appear much more realistic now.
Dras likey!

Someone's bringing sexy back.
The linelessness looks great. You managed to demarcate the different parts of the body great just with the use of darker colours. >D The proportions on the face are a little off, but it's great otherwise. :3

Thanks! Yup, I got the idea for this lineless stuff from ~Takumy 's stuff. I noticed that everything was shaded with gradients, but I could still tell pretty easily wherever an "edge" was supposed to be.
Yeah, her head should be a bit wider, and not as tall, now that you mention it. I'll see if that makes it better, if I can get it without ruining her hair.
