On the top left side, next to the MURO logo, there's an arrow going counter-clockwise, that's the undo button. You can get the same results if you hit Ctrl+Z. You are only able to go back a few steps/actions before it stops working, about 9 times.

On the bottom right you'll find a plus(+) sign and minus(-) sign. The + is to add new layers and the - is to delete them.

You know when you use the regular paintbrush, and you draw something, and fill-color it? how do you get rid of the white line around the lineart?
π: 0 β©: 1
bloominglove In reply to J-for-Jeremy [2015-11-21 02:39:24 +0000 UTC]
You can make a layer under that and manually color in the transparent/white edges.

No matter what I do, nothing is appearing! I'm so stuck! I've used this before but now it's not working. I can't even draw! I can click the small paint brush thing, choose a colour and nothing will work! What's going wrong? Do you know?

Hmm. It works for me.
Try updating your web browser or try using a different browser. See if that works for you.

is there any way to blur using da muro?

You can make blurry dots by using the Basic brush and bumping up the Softness to 100%.

Welcome to deviantArt! There is no real way to DRAW a perfect circle in muro. But, you are able to make fully colored circles and squares. Would that help?

Question.
A very, very nooby question at that.
just started using my Wii U tablet for drawing [It works suprisingly well!] for drawing. However, my main problem is the layers.
How do I create new ones?

bloominglove In reply to NitroTheKidd [2015-04-07 22:32:34 +0000 UTC]
No, you are fine. Gotta start somewhere. Here is something I whipped up really fast: oi60.tinypic.com/35leviq.jpg

yeah, or a samsung, or do you mean a drawing pad?
π: 0 β©: 1
bloominglove In reply to xXWinter-RosesXx [2015-02-07 07:30:14 +0000 UTC]
I am sorry but I'm afraid I can't help you there. I have a Wacom Drawing/Graphics Tablet. (www.wacom.com/en-us/products/p⦠) This is specifically designed for digital graphics. I don't believe the tablet you are using will properly work with dA muro. As dA muro is meant for computers and laptops not handheld devices.
I hope this helps. If you are interested in drawing digital images, consider getting a cheap drawing tablet.

wait how would u make straight lines without it going wiggly when u do eye or face?
π: 0 β©: 1
bloominglove In reply to kiity90 [2015-01-02 04:09:17 +0000 UTC]
My only real advice is practice and know how your tools work. Using a mouse or a touchpad isn't the same as using a drawing tablet.

I don't know why but whenever I use da muro I alwayas end up with pixelated lines. How do I fix this?
π: 0 β©: 1
bloominglove In reply to GameDragoon [2014-12-08 20:45:06 +0000 UTC]
I suggest trying different brushes and a bigger canvas size to see if it makes any difference.
The Basic brush causes the most pixelation/rougher edges from my experience.

myTruCkRaliegh [2014-08-09 15:45:13 +0000 UTC]
this might sound stupid, but how do you fill in the lines? When i make a new layer and then try to fill a closed line it just fills the whole piscture. Theres probably a really obvious answer but I havent found it....thank you so much for this tutorial btw! (:

bloominglove In reply to myTruCkRaliegh [2014-08-09 16:56:39 +0000 UTC]
Not silly at all. Instead of using the fill/bucket tool, color it in manually. I know the fill tool would make things seem easier, but it doesn't always work the way we want it too. On the other hand, you can try filling it in on the layer with the actual drawing. Though, it will leave a white edge between the color and your drawing.

If you are having trouble with sketchy/rough/wavy line, try doing some quick strokes. It takes practice to get cleaner, smoother lines. If you go too slow the lines might turn out bumpy. Hope that helps.

bloominglove In reply to iWaffles93 [2014-07-30 21:52:42 +0000 UTC]
Under the Layers section, you'll see the Opacity bar and under that is a plus sign (+), a minus sign (-), Visible, and Import. The (+) is to add a new layer and the (-) will delete the layer you are currently on.
Hope this helps.

How do you color without covering the line art? I'm still new at photoshop/da muro and stuff so I've always wondered about it.
π: 0 β©: 1
bloominglove In reply to google3y3s [2014-07-09 05:57:59 +0000 UTC]
Here's something I posted earlier about drawing under layers.
On the right hand side, close to the bottom, you'll see a plus sign (+).
Click and it'll add a new layer. The minus sign (-) will delete the layer that you are currently on.
At this point, the only layers you should have are the Background layer, Layer 1, and Layer 2.
If your art is on layer 1, click and drag layer 2 down under layer 1.
You can then draw under layer 1 when you are on layer 2.
If you are starting anew, then add a new layer, draw your line art on layer 2 and your coloring should be on layer 1 without moving anything.
Try to avoid drawing anything on the Background layer. That layer is just a white background and is not transparent like the other layers.
