View the finished piece: [link]My first colouring tutorial, yay
Even though it's a hair colouring tutorial this is pretty much the same way I colour everything ^^
Anyway, I really hope the tutorial makes sense, but if you have any questions just ask me ^^

Waow~! This is really informative~! I love how you do the white dots~ *_* I used to use white out, but then it turned out all gloopy and gross >_< I really love Prismacolours *__* They are the hottest pencils around~! Great tutorial~! >w<

this was really helpfull. how do you get the richness of colour and the clean, flawless finish with the pencil work?

I use hard strokes which sort of force the colour into the texture of the paper so no white spots show. And the blending helps too ^^

Very nice tutorial! It is always great to see anybody sharing their technique with the rest, very insightful. Definitively, going to give this a try.
How long do you usually spend on these pieces?
P.D: Thanks for the fav

Sorry for the super late reply >.<
I'm really glad you like the tutorial! When I draw a pic like this it usually takes me 2-3 days. Depends on how many other things I do in between, hehe. I'm trying to finish the last Harry Potter books ^^

Very cool! Also, colourless belnders tend to leave a bit of a yellow hue behind and white seems to blend much more smoothly, so don't feel bad about not having tried it!
I use a whiteout pen for my whites! XD I didn't know you could get a gel pen that was THAT white! I need to look into Uniball . . .

When I saw the final image before you uploaded this, I thought it was done with markers because the lines were so crisp. I'll definitely keep this tutorial in mind when I use color pencils.
