Check out my Instagram and my Tumblr !I'm pretty happy with how this looks so far. Obviously there are some large areas of black on here, but I think that you can still understand how and where Luminara is standing, which is always something I worry about when I'm adding such heavy shadows. I used the brush pen for a large amount of this one, which I think helped to accentuate both the curves and weight of her robes. There are the smaller details on her face and belt, which I obviously used the fine liners for, and I also used them for the pattern on the lower part of her dress. I considered completely covering the pattern in the shadowed areas, but instead I chose to leave some highlights on there to try and represent the details catching light in various different ways. There are some light areas of hatching, but nothing too heavy on this one, though I'm happy with how they look here. Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with how this step has turned out, and I've got some ideas for the full colour version.
