Description
I spent a lot of time wondering about what colours to use on this one. In some scenes in the first film the Alien's skin seems to be a grey colour, others make it look more brown, while it seems more of a blue at other times. In the end, I decided to use a combination of all of those to try and cover as many bases as possible. I went with a base colour of a grey tone with a hint of blue to it, then used some light browns to create the mottled skin tone in various places. On the whole, I think that effect worked, and though I think I should have added more areas of black to the creature, it's still recognisable as a Xenomorph.
