Don't mess with a tea drinker Vinyl. We can get pretty snappy when our supply is cut off.
So, the wardens are making their usual inspection of all the rooms in the University Halls this week, though they never say which specific date they intend to visit. This is pretty bad news for me as it means I have to hide the kettle I have in my room between 9-5 every day until they've been round. Why do I have to do this you ask? Well, strictly speaking, I'm not meant to have it in my room due to my contract, but the kettle in the kitchen takes three times longer to boil, so I'm prepared to bend them a little.
Octavia looks a little like me between 9-5 at the moment.

Well Vinyl, this is what happens when you build a cardboard fort in the middle of the kitchen. She misses her morning tea, then the power goes out and she can't get any in the evening.

I drink both Coffee and Tea. Coffee in the morning to wake up, and Chamomile Tea at night to put myself to sleep. I can get like Octy at night time without my nightly cup of tea.... Specially now that i can't have alcohol due to my Anxiety and Depression meds.

Funnily enough ... I'm an American, I grew up drinking coffee with my breakfast ... Now I drink Tea every morning. Earl Grey to be precise. Black. I only drink coffee if that's all that's offered to me.

Honestly ... it and Peppermint Tea are the only teas I drink. Although ... can peppermint tea even be considered tea?
And don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a good coffee on occasion, but I prefer my cup of tea in the morning, non-decaf thank you very much. Yes, we have decaf Earl Grey in America.

My wife (who's a yank) commented on how touchy I get when I don't have my cigars or tea, she said I look like Octavia, so in rebuttal I told her she should she herself when she doesn'tΒ have her coffee or chocolates, she has the EXACT same look.

I like to have a cup of tea, too. However, it's usually at random times throughout the day, as is coffee (in my case)

Indeed they still do make stove style kettles. It helps when there's a power cut and you have a gas cooker, just light up a match and hey presto! Hot water.
Clearly, Octavia and Vinyl have an electric one.
