Don't mess with a tea drinker Vinyl. We can get pretty snappy when our supply is cut off.
So, the wardens are making their usual inspection of all the rooms in the University Halls this week, though they never say which specific date they intend to visit. This is pretty bad news for me as it means I have to hide the kettle I have in my room between 9-5 every day until they've been round. Why do I have to do this you ask? Well, strictly speaking, I'm not meant to have it in my room due to my contract, but the kettle in the kitchen takes three times longer to boil, so I'm prepared to bend them a little.
Octavia looks a little like me between 9-5 at the moment.

Actually, with cold water fusion of the tea leaves won't occur.

With room temperature (Or close to it-temperature) water, Just sticking a tea bag in such water does have an effect, Though it takes longer.

Yeah, some university rules are pretty silly. Β Granted, the people in charge in my dorms didn't really care what we did as long as it wasn't a major fire hazard or something or was obnoxiously loud or disturbing. Β
I also recommend a 9-volt battery and some steel wool instead of rubbing sticks together. Β A lot easier to get a fire started that way
Granted I also don't see you as the type of person to go out on campus lawns starting fires to boil water for tea (but I could be wrong

A bit of a warning is here regarding 9-volt batteries and steel wool: Once, A man threw a battery on his workbench, It landed on steel wool, The steel wool started getting hot so he tried to blow it out and it caught fire. Then, He was trying to get it to the kitchen sink (Running?) so it wouldn't fall on the floor and catch the house on fire while he was juggling it between his hands, Almost tripping over his dog and with his wife yelling.
Safety is a good thing.

I'm fairly certain they know about, since the walls are paper thin and I've had it on the boil when they've been in the flat before, so it's not like they can't have heard it. And even then they wouldn't get too mad since everyone in my flat has a good reputation with the wardens. For example they know me as 'The posh one who always wears a fez'. XD

I've known some people who drink regular tea, but loathe ice teas. It's quite a common thing actually, apparently it's to do with having drank hot tea for so long the brain finds it hard to process that it can be drunk cold.
