Description
Okay, so here's another redo. This time with full colour versions of the other Autobots. Since someone requested I do that.Anyway, let's talk about colour theory and Transformers.
I have a couple of simple for-clarity Transformers colour theory ideas. They're really simple, but I think they work really well to make Transformers readable.
1) Always make a Transformers' face a different colour to their eyes and their helmet.
It's a simple rule. And honestly, MOST of the time you'll get this done just by copying the toy or the cartoon character model. But there are a few exceptions.
2) Always make a Transformers' fist a different colour to their forearm, and a different colour again to their gun.
Notice with Slapdash how I made his gun orange? The toy has black fists, yellow forearms and a yellow gun. But if I made the gun yellow here you'd not be able to tell it from his forearm -- OR his chest!
I also gave Powermaster Prime blue fists -- whcih the toy doesn't have (though God Ginrai does) -- for exactly the same reason. Making the hands a different colour to the gun just makes it way easier to tell where one begins and where one ends.
