Description This is one of several Kanohi masks whose shapes were originally made in official Bionicle art but their powers were unestablished. Swert of biosector01 and I came up with powers to use those shapes for the Aethion Expanded Multiverse, and Greg Farshtey canonized them as the powers for those mask shapes. Note that my art shown here is not canon. Many of these masks were only partially shown or were otherwise unclear; the sketch is meant to theorize what the rest of the mask looks like, and also to portray the EM version.

Official power, as defined on biosector01: "The Mask of Biomechanics is a Kanohi that allows its user to mentally interface with machinery and control or influence them, depending on range and complexity of the technology. It also gives the user a minor enhancement of their mechanical strength. The user cannot control the mechanical parts of other beings without their consent, but can slow them down."

Bio from the 100-page Aethion guide PDF: "Enables the user to mentally inferface with mechanical robotics beyond the mechanical parts of their own body and control or influence them, depending on range and complexity -- farther and more complex equals less control. A clockwork brain for instance is beyond all control, but this does enable a robotic version of telepathic communication. Also gives you a minor mechanical strength boost. Cannot control the mechanical parts of other beings without their consent, but can slow them down slightly. Kyn uses a Biomechanics Kanoka-material addin to his Gadget to communicate mentally with his robots."

I'm trying to make a 3-D model of this mask and was wanting your opinion. Would the eye that is not seen be the same as the one that is, or would it be larger and kind of like Kopaka's original Akaku with the zoom lens?

I assume the mask was meant to be symmetrical. Kopaka had a really good reason for the visor on one side since it was a mask power emphasizing vision. (Of course, Nuju didn't but that's tangential. ) I don't see any particular reason for this one to be different... and it might evoke the Borg too obviously. But tis up to you. *shrugs*

Ok, thank you for the advice. I figured it was symmetrical, it just looked a little weird to me. Would you like to see the model when it's done?

You better make it printable in 3D, and compatible with LEGO when it is. I imagine it being used with the Gen 2 heads, due to the whole "Mouth" thing.
