Description This is one of several Kanohi masks whose shapes were originally made in official Bionicle art but their powers were unestablished. Swert of biosector01 and I came up with powers to use those shapes for the Aethion Expanded Multiverse, and Greg Farshtey canonized them as the powers for those mask shapes. Note that my art shown here is not canon. Many of these masks were only partially shown or were otherwise unclear; the sketch is meant to theorize what the rest of the mask looks like, and also to portray the EM version.

Official power, as defined on biosector01: "The Mask of Rebounding is a Kanohi that allows its user to cause non-exploding or non-fragmenting projectiles to come back to them after the object has been thrown at and hit a target. The mask's power uses a small amount of telekinesis, so the harder the user focuses on the projectile, the more accurate the rebound is."

Bio from the 100-page Aethion guide PDF: "If you throw a projectile, and if you activate this mask in time, the projectile is forced to bounce off the target, and does so in just the right direction to return to you. Uses a slight amount of telekinetic power, so if you focus on it harder, the rebound is more accurate (mainly useful for if you are moving). Note, doesn't work if the projectile shatters or explodes, such as Fire heatstone projectiles or explosive missiles. A common example is if you just pick up a random stone and throw it. If the projectile normally wouldn't bounce, or not enough, but stays intact, the power makes it work. Similar to the Onu-Kanoka flight power."

Is inspired by the Mata Nui island Matoran skill for throwing bamboo disks in such a way that they bounce off the target and the thrower catches them again. This mask enables the same skill without the problem of learning it the hard way over centuries of practice, plus makes it more possible for things that don't normally bounce all the way back anyways.

I love this design, I always felt like most masks were too focused on the actual shape rather than the internal detail. This is basically the complete opposite, a basic bowl-like shape with diverse and complex markings. I just wish we saw more of this mask. Good job with the drawing though
