A lot of Avatar fans have a rather intense dislike of Maiko...in fact, I don't think I've seen another couple take so much heat! So, using my patented Booter Logic, I decided to delve into the reasons WHY(constant face sucking aside). However, my logic must have had an off day, judging from the grade it got. :/But ya gotta admit, guys who act like Mai DO get a love of love. Which is maybe why MAO is a good idea...[link]
Now, before you jump down my throat with Reasons Why Booter Is Wrong And Ignorant For Making This, let me just nip that in the bud. I am not promoting ANY sort of shipping, and this thing is a SPOOF. So if you're actually looking for a well-researched and thought out debate starter, look somewhere else.

That's because a few of the fans are Zutarians. Adding on to the fact that they are also the most vocal of the lot, it gives the illusion that they are numerous. Therefore, factoring in number and reaction, you get an imaginary number.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE!!! Because that doesn't equate. Fans don't hate her because she has sour attitude + cold exterior + sarcastic wit + being a girl. If that was true, no one would like Daria (personally I love the girl to death she's so freakin' awesome).
Fans don't like her cause she either:
A. Takes Zuko away from Katara (I dislike Zutara personally)
B. Takes Zuko away form Jet (or other male characters)
or
C. Takes Zuko away from the crazy fans that seem to love him....for no good reason.

The biggest reason i kind of shrug her off is because of the way she put the life of her baby brother in jeopardy in order to keep hold of a political prisoner and didn't seem to have any qualms about it. older sibs protect their younger sibs, that's that.

i would die for my little sister if i had to. I don't ask everyone to have that level of devotion, but to not even show concern when the child went missing in the first place made me slightly ill.
If I had been mai, my first objective would have been to go after sokka and recover my little brother, and leave katara to ty lee (seeing as how ty lee was the most effective dealing with her in any case). going by this, she lacks both strategic, tactical, as well as familial thinking.
Please don't argue this point with me further - you will not convince me, as i know i will not convince you.

I'll argue a different point: Ty Lee went straight for Sokka. Took out his foot, ran right for him. It's possible that, if Katara hadn't grabbed her ankle, she would have snatched Tom-Tom and made a run for it.
And remember that Mai lost the ability to care years before....

Another problem with Maiko is the name. Maiko is the japanese name of a Geshia that is in training and has not achived the level of Geshia, which really means that the Geshia has never had sex.
