I really, really like how you saw this. The light window against the dark and the dark window against the light wall, with the middle tone grey stair thingy cutting through both of them. Great tonal range too in this! Nicely done.

very soothing image... quite straight forward, I must say.. I loved the water drains marks on the wall... the beautiful contrast betwenn the upper and the lower part of the wall and the ladder that creates an unbalanced balance... but my favorite part is the hole in the upper right window... it tells a whole different story....

There are so many little details about this photo that look really good. Like the stains of the dirt (maybe rust) from the stairwell, the crack & hole in the top window, the mismatched bricks near the bottom. This photo has so much character!

Its wonderful...the essence is its simplicity! I love how its mostly straight lines but the fire escape takes away the division and carries your eye throughout the photo...beautiful!
