Oh, this is fantastic! I never used the pattern acording with the fabric move. I always divide it in two pieces: one darker and one lighter, so the own shadows of the cloth make the difference. But the one in your tutorial is perfect, looks much more real

I made it on my desktop which has XP still so... I'd say not the new one. I've never used the new one.

I don't use MSPaint anymore since my primary computer is my mac. =/ I actually only made this to help a friend. She kept ruining great dolls with flat patterns xD I was a wee bit out of practice with it.

Although im not into digital dolls, this is a great tutorial that could probably be applied in heaps of different ways. Kudos

This is GREAT! I can imagine myself as a non-dolling digital artist that your technique could work on other styled works too.
Congratulations on the award feature!

Thank you. So many people just slap the pattern on as if it's a flat piece of fabric, and many tutorials show it to do it that way, too.
So, thank you for being more competent than them. >>

Dude making this made my brain hurt. I was like 'by hand is so much easier D:' But alas. WIthout layers doing it by hand is a pain I guess.

Oh, man, when I made my absolutely terrible pattern tutorial (all of my tutorials need to be remade >>), I didn't even want to touch using a pattern like this - where you just have the single piece and you try to apply it to the fabric. Gah!

Whoa, awesome. ^_^ I am sure this will help a lot, especially with knowing how to make things "bend" in 3D.
