Download for better view.And I have something to say about the 7th step: choose the color you want to erase with LEFT click, then you erase it (or recolor it in white) with RIGHT click.
This is a tutorial for all the people out there asking how I make my bases.
It's very simple, guys, really.
You just have to get used to it!

you take the color you want in color 2 then right click on where you want that color to go nothing may seem to happen but then use the fill bucket and fill it in that color! simple right?

It's because you click the wrong button on the mouse. You must right click, not left click, and you must keep clicking.

Uhm, when you save your drawing on Paint it should appear different options of files: jpeg, png ecc. There is also "Save as a bitmap 16 colors" option.

and select 16 color bitmap and save it and if it says colors may change ACCEPT IT

When you save the file there is the option "BTMP 16 colors" or something like that. You should save in that format once you have traced the base

Paint.NET is more or less the same, but if the color your using in anyway matches the base color IT COLORS EVERTHING but i find it easier when drawing manes, but coloring is a pain
