Download for better view.And I have something to say about the 7th step: choose the color you want to erase with LEFT click, then you erase it (or recolor it in white) with RIGHT click.
This is a tutorial for all the people out there asking how I make my bases.
It's very simple, guys, really.
You just have to get used to it!
PS: the rubber tool is simply the ERASER. Okay?

When you save the image as a bitmap file (16 color) you have to erase or turn white all but the lines of your base. Get it? At the end you should have only the lineart of the base.

when you're in paint, you can get out the eraser, do Control-+, and it wil make the eraser huge!

All you do is press control (crtl) and then push the plus button, looks like this. + Also, you need to hold it down.

Yep, it's okay! Choose the way which is easier for you ^^ I almost always use the erase because sometines I can't see the little pixel and I end up forgetting them...

thanks, thats helpful, even i noticed the darker yellow that i used Twilight Sparkle from Is About Time ep of MLP: FIM, it was dark yellow so i used light yellow for it, so i use blue instead of darker one, and recolor it and i made a good one. another one is it that i see the gray just messed up the line and tongue. -_-"

In my Paint I can't use the lighter colors, they go gray when I save as Bitmap 16...

Well yes you can, you can paste it in a new Paint file. But for me is easier to save it as a png file

Okay what Im trying to say is,it worked,but it fucked up my colours permantatly. I cant do any light colours,only standard yellow,fushica,standard blue,neon green,Im stuck with the light colours,plus gray and black!! Ive restarted my computer,saved as PNG and so on,but it's still fucked up! I really need ANYONES help and this isnt my computer TT^TT

Uhm... that's weird. Did you change the type of file?
If you open Paint always in Bitmap 16 colors, when you'll try to use for exemple the brighter blue it will be gray...
Open the new file as aBitmap 24 colour.

NEVER USE THE LIGHT YELLOW, always use the Bright yellow, the darker one in your palette!
