Description

Had this idea in my head for a tron-styled suit that used energy for combat capabilities.

Porygon is most primitive as it has to crystallize energy in order to form armor for battle. Moving up, Porygon 2 becomes able to use the energy in a purer form. Porygon Z is an unexpected being that came into existence that has complete control over digital information and the ability to manifest things in the form of pure energy.

Story time: After the creation of Missingno and its merge with Cyber Mewtwo's armor, a Porygon, Fracta was upgraded in order to combat against the manifested virus. As a Porygon 2, she came to battle with it and unexpectedly, being from similar roots as a digital being that took a physical form, the two merged. Fracta being the vaccine that was created to neutralize Missingno, took control of its full power and evolved into Porygon Z form.

Why thank ya! If you don't mind my asking, what in particular do you like about the idea?

For one thing, I like how you put Missingno into the story.  I've never considered doing something like that with the glitch, but I think its genius.  Secondly, I love your designs. I like making Pokemon gijinkas too, but sometimes I struggle to come up with designs.  I think these are great because you've kept enough of the original pokemon design to still see exactly where they come from, but you've merged them with a human so excellently that its not just a pokemon, but its not just a human dressed as one ether.  Its an amazing combination of both.

Why thank you! I've always thought Missingno was an interesting entity and the lore behind it being related to Mew made me interested in making a gijinka of it, especially when there are so few of it. It's almost like a pseudo-legendary.

I will admit, making gijinka designs is very tough at times, especially with certain designs. But, with a general idea of something in mind in terms of class you could see the pokemon being, it's very fun to take the elements of its design and blend it together so that it makes sense. I think that's how things like Mobster Feraligatr, Samurai Heracross, Shrine Priestess Ninetales or Cowgirl Hydreigon came to be. It's making it unique enough to be its own person, but taking all the elements and not wasting them so it helps define them both as a gijinka and as a pokemon. If you ever feel like talking about Pokemon gijinkas when you're stuck, I'm your man. I can always throw random ideas your way and maybe it'll help you come up with some ideas.

I'll probably take you up on that   Right now I'm working on a couple of Pokemon gijinka cosplays for this August and they're coming along pretty well, but I have more Pokemon I want to do eventually.  I'm working on Scyther armor for myself and and a barbarian Marowak for another cosplayer. Eventually I want on making Gardevoir and Absol, but I only have very rough ideas for them right now.

I saw the scyther armor. Looks good and it's just about done isn't it? Barbarian Marowak makes a lot of sense actually. Gardevoir I find tough to be unique with especially since it is so humanoid already. Absol can be taken a number of ways as long as you have an idea of the style you want.

Yes, the Scyther armor is almost finished.  I'm remaking the blades today and after that I just have to make the wings

For Gardevoir I was thinking about combining aspects of a dancer, a warrior/knight, and a masquerade type outfit.  That might be hard to picture, but I have a picture in my head that I will eventually put on paper.  As for Absol I have zero ideas, but I don't want to get to ahead of myself anyway

Aww yeah!

Gardevoir definitely sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing that one.
Absol's pretty furry, so you at least know that your future outfit may have lots of fur in the future! Unless you're trying for something else. In which case that would be something to behold

I'll probably stick to furry when it comes time to make an Absol design

I love these ideas! I am trying to think up of some thing similar for a pokemon fan series but the battle outfits are more robotic like....

That's cool. What kind of direction are you trying to take your art in terms of design style?
