Thank you very much! I hadn't thought of it that way, but that's right, since this was a transitional piece.

I resized it a little bit, so it fits a bit better in the browser window.

nice image, even if it's not a happy one (although maybe relieving...I'm not sure)
I'd be lying if I said I can really understand it...but that's not really important...if it does the job for you, that's cool
I like it though - I guess because i like the idea of imagining the bit of body inbetween...
but good work again, hope you keep that burst of inspiration going

thank you! sorry for the vagueness, but I felt it was necessary. It's about a certain person, and I didn't think it would be fair to her to go into too much detail, since she's not here to offer up her side of the story.
Yes, it was quite a relief to get this out.
Again, thanks for the comment.

Very cool as usual. I like this because you get the gist of what is being shown, but to make up for that, you have to figure out the meaning yourself. Very nice. Soon your works will make up the bulk of my favorites...I'm adding this to my favorites...and going to get some cereal. Have a g'day.

thank you! I'm glad the gist comes across... because if this is indeed humanly possible, I certainly couldn't do it. thank you for the favorite! you've been too kind to me already. Hope you enjoyed the cereal. have a great day yourself!

flying is just the art of falling but missing the ground.

BurlapZack In reply to turkystuffing [2005-05-06 08:23:46 +0000 UTC]
and an art it is indeed.. I have yet to successfully avoid the ground.

I'm glad I sat for a little minute to work this out. I like how you hands don't actually look like they are parting in this bending backwards. It gived the piece a surreal feeling, and although you may be bent over backwards, you still have a strong resiliance about you, symbolised in the unrealistic hands.
Hmm....I'm maybe reading too much into this, but I really like what you've done here. I think it's very clever and it plucks on the ol' heartstrings.
(You also have rather nice feet, lol.)

yep, I've been holding out on this for awhile. Then recently, I had the motivation to continue through it. Thanks for the comment, you. You like dirty feet, eww.

and I'm doing splendidly. I just had to get this out of my system.

Rar... vague and seemingly deep meaning behind it.... *strains to decipher*
I hope things are well with the Zack of Burlap... o.o
Nicely composed, despite simplicity. Oddly, the lyrics come to mind... "I wanna be your hands, I wanna be your feet..."
And I have no idea why. >.>

Things are well. This was just my way of dealing with it. It's been resolved since.
What lyrics are those?
thanks for the comment!
