It works and can be used for spinning.The wheel is cherry with a linseed oil finish. I'm using waxed linen thread as a drive.
Needs some fine tuning, that my wife will do as she uses it. Will be making some smaller whorls for her so that she can vary the speed based on the material being spun.

I've had to do some fine tuning and remake one or two small pieces.
