Ok... so this is a thing I've been wanting to do for a loooong time. Potentially I might insult some people, annoy some copyright holders and other things but I wanted to at least give it a shot.

For those who don't know, there's a Ratchet and Clank comic made up of 6 issues or 1 TPB depending on what you prefer published by DC comics around 2010. I bought it simply because I'm terminally obsessed with the franchise and expected it to be a simple fan-indulgence story. ...Instead I got a really... REALLY good, emotionally charged story.

It happens about 6 months after Crack in Time (and contains heavy spoilers for that game) and perfectly bridges the games CiT and All4One as far as character's emotional states, development and various plot and universe details (like how the hell Qwark became galactic President in A4O)

It's a great comic. However the art confuses me a little bit.

The person who was commissioned to do the art, although a VERY good artist, seemed to be some-one more comfortable at drawing human characters than a furry alien and a tiny robot. This results in ALL characters looking pretty darn good.. ..except for Ratchet and Clank themselves as well as Talwyn and Sasha in certain places.

Now, I am by no means a better artist, at all. But I felt I wanted to at least TRY and draw the characters as I've grown to know them after 11 years and in certain places, change body language and where characters stand in physical relationship with each other as well as certain expressions I felt did not ring true to a character's personality.

So... I thought I'd try and redraw the thing and try to teach myself something about paneling (which I SUCK at) and getting a better grip on the whole process of comic making.

I do not claim any ownership over the dialogue, characters, panel planning, script or anything in the writing, editing or planning department. All official persons to do with the original comic will be credited fully and I claim no artistic input from my side.

This is a fan project and no profit will be made from this in any form. It is merely for fun and educational purposes. No copyright infringement is intended. I merely wish to learn from this and give a new spin on the art associated with this story.

If you feel I am overstepping my bounds please let me know and educate me on this matter further. I do not want to cause trouble in anyway.

SO! With all that out of the way, here is a comparative page showing my art on the left, and the original page on the right.
All art was redrawn from scratch (no tracing was involved).

And finally, with all that out of the way, below I will put a link to the page itself once I upload that as well. Future pages will not be comparative pages like this. This is just my explanation page as such.

This took a long time to do so don't expect frequent pages or anything, especially since I have a lot of other projects I'm working on as well as a full time job etc. but I hope you enjoy this little exercise of mine.
