*sighs* I'm not fond of the colours in this one. they're ok but... not what I wanted
was saying we needed more light-hearted pictures and I agreed XD but somehow "Light-hearted" turned itself into "mush".
I had a hard time trying to get the poses close but still platonic. Perhaps I could've pushed it more but I was worried people'd get the wrong idea 
I went a little overboard with the shading as well ;___; it's too shiny, I wanted it more muted than this. *siiiiighs* I seem to be having a lot of problems with my art lately.Late-night movie-thons are not always a good idea XDD I give Don another 2 minutes before he rolls over ontop of Raph... and you know Mikey's hiding behind the couch with camera at the ready for just that moment >3
the next picture I draw will be better I promise ;___; I hope you guys like it anyway. I like the compression on Don's cheek against Raph's shoulder, I need to learn to put flesh-compression in my pictures more.

You asked for it, so here it is.
The colours are nice and sleepy, so it suits the subject matter quite nicely. The poses are clear and it's pretty obvious what's going on.
The only thing I can suggest, according to your description of the piece, is perhaps a bit more of a harsh TV glow, since you said that they did pass out in front of the TV. Maybe some sharper shadows where applicable - from the TV glow. Anyway, that's the only suggestion I have.
When I look at this, I keep expecting Raph to wake up and push Donny away with an expression of mildly digusted annoyance.

I'm glad the colours work because as I said I'm not very fond of them (That's what you get for starting a picture without a colour scheme in mind) I agree with you on the TV thing, I was going more for mood than reality but I do agree.
XD as for Raph, he probably would but since it's Donny I'm not too sure. Raph isn't as rough with Don as he is with the others for some reason.

Honestly, I don't see anything wrong with it. It's still light-hearted and it's not badly shaded. I think it looks like the TV is still on and is making them look shiny.

Absolutley lovely! I think the colouring and shading works well as is seems to reflect the idea of them watching TV. Even before I read your artist's comments I had guessed that was what they had been doing. This is really sweet and not really mushy. Just calm and nice. Great!

You know that I am a turtlecest fan, and I prefer RaphDon. But even to me, this is a brotherly moment! Also, love EVERYTHING about this picture.
How Raph's build is more 'muscle teen', and Donnie's is more 'awkward teen'. How Donnie's cheek is against Raph's shoulder, how Raph's head is resting on Donnie's head...
And Raph seems to have more scars than Donnie :3
I bet that if he woke up, and it was Mikey or Leo, he would throw a fit or something. But we all know, even those not into turtlecest, that he has a soft spot for Donnie! I mean, the geek DID build him that motorcycle. He is doomed to have one.
Also, I would pay Mikey for a picture of this moment.

Raph having more scuff-marks than Don wasn't on purpose, but I agree it's nice! I didn't even think of that XD must've been subconscious.
XDDD if it was Mikey he'd shove him off, if it was Leo he'd probably shrug him off less harshly, but seeing as it's Donny, I don't think he'd move him, or if he did he'd do it carefully because you're right. it doesn't take a genius to see Raph has a soft spot for Don.
As for Splinter I don't think he'd snap a picture XD but he's log the mental image away that's for sure. And if Mikey did take a photo Splinter wouldn't need to >3 silly Splinter. You're so wily!

XDD the coffee addiction thing is hilarious, but I only incorporate fanon in my own stuff if there's a good reason for it. (Like Mikey being the youngest which is has never technically been stated ANYWHERE in canon. It's just something the fans have created and which makes so much sense if you change that fans will tell you you're wrong XDDD)
Angry Donny IS very amusing XDD although he makes me want to hug him when he's mad... which I don't think is his intention.

XDD I'm pretty uncreative with age. From < Mikey, Don, Raph, Leo. (Only Leo being oldest is canon, every-one else is left up to the fans) I agree with you though XDDD at most their a few weeks apart.

Awww thats so sweet. I guess Donnie is the only one he would allow to do that. Leo wouldn't as he would see it as intrusive and Mikey would just drool everywhere. Still this is a side to raph thats rarely shown anyways, onto the pic.
Lighthearted doesn't necessarily mean mush. This is a bit of brotherly love. You can really see how musculey Raph is compared to Donnie. The colours are nice and warm as befits the pic. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy myself. When i first saw it, I thought that Raph was Mikey. Looks like the scanner ate the red and made it look orange. Casting it in the light that it is in makes it look very calm and relaxed. And just them being brothers and not ninjas. Also it's rather nice to see Raph look so calm. A nice change and something that is rare for him. He's letting some of his emotions out. Donnies cheek compressed on Raphs shoulder is a nice little addtion. I wonder if the next pic is going to be light-hearted or are qwe back to the hard nosed grit. Also I think I might use this in the fic. Would be a crime not to.
