Description I decided to do another sketch dump for Houseware. Mostly to get some old ideas out of my head. This is mostly just a sketch dump of the different things he can turn into.

Starting off with a UFO styled spaceship that mostly looks like Houseware is wearing a space helmet. Which makes sense, I did that sketch a few years ago of Houseware wearing a snorkel in his submarine form (which is on my list of things Mickey Mouse Funhouse ripped off from me). So you'd think that'd make sense, until you realize that the space helmet is only covering Houseware's eye and not his actual mouth.

D'oh well.

Next up is a motorcycle sketch I did, one with the whole crew together with Rosewood and Ruben along for the ride. This is something I haven't done in years with Houseware's designs. Back in the later years as Brainstormer62, I took waaaaay too much time trying to make his design and transformations make sense. When in reality, Houseware was birthed from my love of the nonsensical, fantastical, literally magical properties of the Magic School Bus.

Because that's the main difference between Houseware and that stupid Mickey Mouse Funhouse show that ripped me off.

Funhouse can "turn into anything" in the sense that, 99% of the time, he can stamp his face onto any surface and possess any object, like that one villain from the Foster's Home movie.

Houseware can "turn into anything" in the same sense that the Bus can: by actually changing into anything. And whatever he changes into, you can still see parts of his original designs as part of it. In the Bus' case; whether it turns into a surfboard, a battery, even a floppy disc, you can still see the Bus' windows, doors, headlights and so on. And with Houseware, it's the same, just with a house's doors, windows and roof.

Hell, even that whole "projecting his face onto anything" bit is something Funhouse ripped off from me. In the one short story I've already written. Houseware did that with a virtual icon onto almost any smart screen the characters interacted with. SPEAKING OF WHICH!!!

The next sketch is of that very icon on what looks like a screen inside of a picture frame. That idea came from that fact that Houseware's house design is based off of the Blue's Clues house. And lord knows the frames in those house have their own magic to them. But in Houseware, his frames double as multi-purpose smart screens. And one of those purposes is the ability to like him communicate with people with his own icon.

He's sort of like the Gadgetmobile from the live action Inspector Gadget movies. Or as I like the call him "The only good thing from the live action Inspector Gadget movies". I speak no hyperbole when I say that most of Houseware's personality came from that one character.

And last but not least, there is Houesware's Construction Crustacean mode: a massive mech shaped like a lobster made out of mining and constructing equipment. This idea came from an episode of an obscure Noggin show called Zak and Quack.

Bringing up these old sketches are part of my attempt to reignite the spark that made me come up with Houseware, Rosewood, Ruben and all of my other creations in the first place. And, of course, to rip Mickey Mouse Funhouse a new one because it's always fun to rip on a bad show. Even without the minor detail of ripping me off.
