I always loved the cool Armor of Noval Garaint since I first saw it in ... was it Fragments from the Rim? I loved the Sourcebooks from West End Games

I could be mistaken...but I think 'Fragments' was the time West End gave me the entire book to illustrate. I can't be sure because I recently signed and sold my stash of books (the remains of whichΒ is presently on eBay). Garaint is a cool dude, Poe. Maybe I should do some new sketches of him. Now THERE'S an idea!

My favourite galaxy guides : bounty hunters & Fragments from the rim. both featured noval garaint. I've always liked his Krail armor better than boba fett's mandalorian armor. (He also reminded of cyclops my favourite x-man

Those are my favorite Guides as well, Altug. I really enjoyed working on them! I'd agree that Garaint's armor is right up there with Boba's. Glad you like it!

They were, indeed! WEG was really flying by the seat of their pants with that game. The Star Wars universe was so open and free for exploration, which I imagine made your job a lot of fun. I only wish I'd gotten in on the game a bit earlier so I could've gotten some of that action. I did only two projects for them before WEG went tango-uniform, leaving me alone and unpaid.

Yes. It was a sad situation with the way West End went belly-up. It is regrettable, as you say, that more up-and-coming young artists didn't get a chance to expand the Star Wars universe as I did. I consider myself most fortunate for the opportunity I got.

The Bounty Hunter book has always been one of my favorite Star Wars books - but then I've always liked the darker aspects of the Star Wars universe where the colours are more Grey than black and white
