Description
Just a lineup of the Outback crew done up for the ol' Facepages and as a banner for various other websites (more on that last part to come).I played around a bit with backlighting and shadows on this one; I like how it turned out.
(By the way, my Faceybook page is private and I try to keep it to people I actually know. If you'd like to follow my cartoonery on that other site, you can here .)

Thanks! The backlighting was just me being lazy, actually... It would've taken much longer for me to shade them normally. Luckily, it worked out quite nicely.

Yeah, shading can be a tiresome process...

Thanks! I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out; I even had it printed up as a banner for conventions.

I've been wondering, which of these characters did you come up with first, and which one came last?

CalamityKangaroo In reply to Wolfmage90 [2017-03-13 14:48:46 +0000 UTC]
Well, Calamity came first, being the main character and all... His prototype was actually a side-character that I came up with back somewhere around late Elementary School when I had a whole other set of random characters. I was about halfway through Middle school when I gave him a major overhaul and built the OUTBACK world and it's characters around him.
The last character I created was probably The Barron, because I had a friend who wanted me to make a character based on him, and that's who I ultimately came up with. Like Calamity, though, he's changed a lot since then, and basically has nothing to do with my old friend anymore save for some backstory stuff that stuck.
Good question, that! I'm glad you asked.

Thanks, I'm glad you think so.
That is, of course, assuming you're saying the picture is nice...
You could be telling me to be nice; in which case I promise you that I try to be...

Actually, no, I'm not. I'm a Texan born and raised. Texas and Australia do have a lot in common though, I've found; and it's a very interesting place.

Thank you! I'd say they love you back, but since they're fictional characters, they can't really.

Mayhaps a bit... His style's a little more rounded and cutesy than mine, though.

I'll bet Calamity had no problem standing with his mates, some of the others though were probably not as co-operative. I'll bet you had to bribe Buzzard and Croc into not eating the main star in this shot.

CalamityKangaroo In reply to David31 [2014-01-15 16:19:17 +0000 UTC]
There is a reason Croc has that look on his face...
The Buzzard, however, is too stupid to care. He didn't even know what was going on.
