The animators probably saw all the love the G1 pilot got in the early days, and eventually decided to use the ba guy in a way.

Sad that no one can make MMORPG with ponies what would look like that.
Earth Pony - Warriour/Knight/Tank, melee fighter
Pegasus - Range fighter/rouge
Unicorn - Healer/Wizard
Alicorn - Have Hp and melee fighting abilities of Earth Pony, Speed and agility of Pegasus and can cast spells and buffs like Unicorn, each player can have only 1 Alicorn character, and it can be unlocked only if player will have Pegasus, Earth Pony and Unicorn character with all classes unlocked ( Alicorn, strongest and most balanced from all classes, but level up far slower then other races, hard to unlock ).

Another game, Fighting Is Magic (you probably heard of it?), got a Cease & Desist letter from Hasbro so they couldn't use MLP anymore. The games making this game figured that might happen to them too, so they just went ahead and changed it... at least that's what I've read.

What I never understood about midnight caste:
The guy is a centaur
so he steals horses
to pull his carriage
and then turns them into dragons
when he already had dragons

You just can't have enough dragons, I guess... maybe he was getting more dragons so he could make even MORE dragons!
And it could be worse... Like, what if he went through all the trouble to steal DRAGONS to turn them into HORSES so they'd pull his flying carriage?
"Ok, now we take off and... wait, something's wrong here. Maybe... maybe my carriage broke. Is it the wheel? You think the wheel's broken?"

You know it took more /forever/ to find this episode on VHS? Finally got a copy off of ebay, couldn't find it for the life of me anywhere else (not that I could remember the actual name of the show haha). I use to watch it all the time as a kid, and I rewatched it, and was like "I could've sworn it was longer..." lol!
Anyways... good mix of the two generations. Hah, that's a lot of pony butt. xD;; Well done tho. =3

Now that's something that should get a DVD release... yeah, it's like one of those episodes where so much happens that stays in memory like a full movie. (By the way, is that VHS the "3 hours of pure pony pleasure" one? When someone showed that cover, that was the joke of the day.)
About all dat rump going on... yeah, when I first drew it, I didn't even think of bringing it to DA, it was just a doodle supposed to have a little something for everyone. And of course, an homage to a surprisingly good cartoon I had missed.

Nah, it's just the show itself. It has nothing else in it. It's 30 mins of that show period. I remember every time we went to the video store, I would rent that movie. One day, we went to rent movies, I went straight for the childrens section and it was gone! I looked through the book they had and it wasn't even listed. I was like "NUUUUUU". I finally hunted it down and now it's mine. It's like, an old tape too, probably the one /from/ the 80's, ha! And yes, it does need to be on DVD!

I had never made the Venger connection, but this was made by the same animators as the D&D cartoon... it makes a lot of sense! O_O
