PRINT WILL BE AVAILABLE AT NYCC BOOTH N16 IN ARTIST ALLEYAbout a year ago a kid up in Tuxedo NY gave me a challenge. He wanted a picture of Cortana and Master Chief kissing. I was a little stumped cause we never see Chief's face... so how was I going to make this work. Luckily an old issue of Spider-man gave me the answer.
Yes, here it is folks. The first print I have set for NYCC. A Halo Print with Master Chief anf Cortana sharing a moment. This beauty will be available this Thursday at NYCC Artist Alley Booth N16.

I like how you made the code on Cortana... in Halo 3 it looks 2D while the rest of her is 3D. Not many people notice that.

D'aww thanks. I have a ton of reference pictures of her. Both her and chief in this illustration as a crazy mixture of things from all 3 of those games (I did this before 4 launched) I took what i felt worked best and ran with it. Funny thing is the code is supposed to be in the lighter areas; I felt they served better in the darker so you could see them and it would break up big bold boring dark areas better.

I thought the code was in the lighter areas in 2, but not in 3... but you probably have more experience with the series than me. I joined the fandom with 4 actually.
You must be psychic then... I thought for sure this was based off 4's ending. The lighting on their faces looks kinda sad somehow.

I absolutely love this, I cannot describe the feelings overcoming me when I look at this scene. Β You convey the emotions and sentiments of both characters so well!Β It's such a tender, bittersweet moment, Β and I feel can the heartache too (I also feel like crying..). Showing only part of his face is a stroke of genius, even if it was inspired by Spiderman
