Description Wow, did this image ever take a long time to complete! I believe I started researching it back in March (with photos from Jess - [link] ).

Originally it was going to be an acrylic painting, but that didn't pan out, so I went back to the medium I knew best - pastels and pencil crayon.

Wow. This is absolutely amazing! The horses look so realistic, and detailing is spectacular. I love all of the movement in this picture too

Oh wow! This really turned out lovely! It is well worth the effort you put into it. I especially love the bay. He looks like he's just seconds away from kicking up his heels.
