After what feels like an eternal struggle to get this finished here it is! a beach outfit for Karen!Couldn't decide if it fit better for Gloom Beach or Skull Shores so I'm just calling it a beach outfit.
I've been dying to put Karen in gladiator sandals for the longest time! and her hat is based of an actual hat I made for an art show in high school- just mine was skull patterned instead of eyeballs.
I can't wait for summer.

Is it just me, or is Karen a little older than she was back in her bio? Either way, she seems to be rocking the attitude, the confidence and the style even more these days!!
This is a great pose and an incredible outfit, it looks like sheβs taken some fashion inspiration from the original Cyclops, and it really works for her. But I think my favourite part of this drawing is her expression, Iβm still in awe of how much you can communicate with just one eye!

I don't know if it's Karen that has changed but how I draw her has. I used to draw in her a way that mimicked the copyrighted MH style. but now I draw her in my own style and I guess by default everyone gets older XD

Her bathing suit is so cute. I ADORE her hair in a braid. The color mixture is great. All the matching eyeball ensembles are so awesome! I wish those shoes and cup was real! The eyeballs hanging off the hat is so cool too. This is all just so cool!

I like the way you add new details and accessories that match the character (like the eyeballs here and in the sweet 16 design) while keeping her trademark preferences: the animal prints, her favourite colour still in the outfit without saturating it (and thus, not falling in the "a character has one dominant colour and it must always be the main one in his/her clothes" clichΓ©).
Ahh, Karen. I hope this time she is just enjoying herself and not plotting anything against an unsuspecting victim.
