Another graphic design project of mine, this time done at home while bored. It only took me around two days at most, so I must be getting faster!

This may be reminiscent of an old fictional Sonic logo I did on my previous account, but this time I decided to really test my box art abilities with a full cover.

I decided to follow gaming's recent tradition of compiling past series into a graphically enhanced "HD collection" with one of my most wanted: the Sonic Adventure series. Admit it, you would love to play an HD compilation of these games on your PS3/360. Make it happen, SEGA!

Since this is an HD collection, I really wanted to give it the crisper feel of the newer box arts while also capturing the feel of the original series, as you can see with the blue sky and beach (which is actually a screenshot of Wave Ocean from Sonic the Hedgehog, which is like an HD Emerald Coast anyway). I wanted to throw in some spacey-ness in the background to represent SA2, but I couldn't get it to look right in the end.

The logo itself is a hybrid of the logos for both games. The letters feature blue sky and water from SA1 and outer space from SA2. Likewise, the outline is rocky like in SA1 and yellow like in SA2. I thought of it as kind of an official logo that could be used to represent and unify the series.
