Summary:
   The Resolute-Class Starship was one of several vessels on the drawing board during the Federation/Klingon Cold War 2266 - 2293. By 2294, Starfleet laid the keel of the U.S.S. Resolute as part of the continuing development of technology. It's warp drive, navigational sensors & defense systems at the time were considered to be, at the time, was the most advanced in the fleet. It was also the first ship if the fleet to test the Class-VI warp drive in deep space.

History:
   In 2299, The U.S.S. Resolute had completed its trial runs and was slated to be placed on shakedown cruises near the Federation/Romulan Neutral Zone. However, because of the amount of technology that was based on the analysis of the Mechalnti, Starfleet decided to place David Forester in command of the U.S.S.Resolite along with his crew, the only exceptions was having to replace the Navigator's position as Lieutenant Corin was promoted to Security Chief and have Starfleet Medical assign Commander Tobin Graxx as the new position of Ship's Counselor became a permanent position threw out the Fleet.
